NYC Farmers Markets: Where to find the Freshest Produce

July 3, 2018 | 4 min Read

Bringing the Wild to NYC

New York City is known as the premier concrete jungle. With the exception of Central Park and some gorgeous tree lined streets, you’ll find more bricks, concrete, and buildings than green life in this city.

But that doesn’t mean that you can’t find fresh fruits and vegetables. Let’s take a look at some markets (and a restaurant or two) where you can find fresh farm-raised produce that will lighten up your meal.

Union Square Greenmarket

You want the best fresh produce in NYC? Then you go where hundreds of our world famous chefs go and that’s the Union Square Greenmarket. This is solidly accepted as the largest farmers market in the city with over 150 vendors and hundreds of thousands of daily visitors. It’s open several days a week, year-round, so make sure you give it a visit while you’re in town- just for the experience, or to buy some farm fresh goodies.
