Hadestown


The Hadestown musical mixes two ancient Greek mythologies with modern day vocals. Young lovers Orpheus and Eurydice discover the underground world of King Hades and his wife Persephone. In a journey into the underworld and back, the lovers must trust one another to make it out alive— and together. Catch this riveting, romantic and historical musical at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

Hamilton


Long a must-see show, Hamilton is still as hot as ever on Broadway. The musical that blends hip hop, jazz, R & B, rap and show tunes to tell the story of the man on the $10 bill is an intriguing mix of personal and US history. It is one of triumph in the face of poverty and adversity, war, nation building and much more. Powerful music and lyrics by the famed Lin-Manuel Miranda bring the past into the present with tour-de-force performances. Showing at the Richard Rodgers Theater.

Tina


The empowering musical Tina documents the meteoric rise and the twists and troubles of the world-famous singer Tina Turner. From her life in small town Tennessee to the bright lights and big city of New York, LA and beyond. The soundtrack of Tina Turner songs with their sometimes raw and heart-breaking honesty carry the audience on a journey through her life and its trials. The musical is showing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the heart of the Theatre District.

MJ


MJ is a musical dive into the creative process of the legendary and inimitable Michael Jackson. The plot takes place around Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour. With more than 25 of Jackson’s biggest hits, the musical is an explosive exploration of one of the most creative and misunderstood figures of pop music. MJ is showing at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Chicago


Long after its debut, Chicago continues to be a must-see Broadway classic with its sultry backdrop of crime, justice and celebrity in the 1920s. The ensemble dancing and gorgeous jazz sets are legendary and bring to life the love story at the heart of Chicago. The musical is showing at the Ambassador Theater.

Skeleton Crew


Perhaps the lesser known of our Broadway picks, Skeleton Crew is about a small group of workers in a Detroit factory. The production takes a look at the interpersonal relationships between co-workers as each character struggles to keep his or her job in a cut throat environment, while maintaining humanity and dreams of a future. The heartwarming ending will have audiences cheering. Showing at the Friedman Theatre.
