Women’s History Month 2023 NYC

March 3, 2023 | 3 min Read

March is Women’s History Month nationwide and of course no place quite celebrates like New York City! Congress declared March as National Women’s History Month in 1987 to honor the extraordinary achievements of American women. While one month seems a wee bit short to celebrate the amazing achievements and contributions women have made to our global world, nowhere quite makes the best of it like New York City.

The New York Public Library

This March, The New York Public Library celebrates women, past and present, who have been active in all forms of media and storytelling in honor of Women’s History Month. Join in the programs, including live author talks and panels, book discussions, arts and crafts, and more. You can explore events and programs by audience: adults, kids, and teens on the Library’s website.
