Cherry Blossoms at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Each year, starting April 1st, into May is the official Cherry Blossom season at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The garden comes to life with cherry blossom trees coloring the landscape pink. While the normal festivities will not be held this year, visitors can still walk through the garden and enjoy taking photos among the effervescent flowers that arc through the sky. It’s easy to forget you’re not in Japan, but the stunning display of springtime blooms is located right inside Prospect Park in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival
Join in the fun and see a new side of New York City as it is decorated with around 300 brightly colored giant Easter eggs this April. The famous Easter eggs can be seen all over in the city center and are also popular selfie spots.
Then grab your best hat, add some flowers and head to the annual Easter Parade on Easter Sunday for some fantastic people-watching! The informal parade brings out New Yorkers wearing floral easter bonnets and festive attire to celebrate the day together in a secular manner. Spectators can jump into the parade at any point, usually roughly 30,000 people participate. A favorite spot to watch the parade is at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on 5th Avenue.
The Easter Parade & Bonnet Festival, moves from 49th to 57th Street along 5th Avenue heading toward central park. The parade starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 4 PM.
The Make Music Festival Benefit Concert

Musicians run the gamut from professional to amateur and in all different genres of music. While you have to wait until June for the actual festival, Make Music is having a benefit concert on April 14th that promises to be lots of fun, with innovative, high energy music. The night will take place at Nublu. Tickets are $20 and the music begins at 9pm.
