The Legend Began in 1926

Our history is rich with influence and class. The hotel was first purchased by William Randolph Hearst, known for founding an expansive journalistic empire. The location was perfect for the lavish parties of his mistress Marion Davies.

When it became a residential building, the uniqueness and personality of each individual tenant added the special ingredient that The Lombardy still offers in the original elegance of each decor.
