No trip to Manhattan would be complete without some serious shopping. We all have heard of Bergdorf’s and the iconic 5th Avenue shops, but there’s another, home-grown sort of shopping that is taking Manhattan by storm: Farmer’s Markets. There are many locations to choose from, but we narrowed the list down to the four markets nearest to The Lombardy Hotel.
Dag Hammarskjold Plaza Greenmarket
Turkey burgers, bread from HBK (Hot Bread Kitchen), apples year round, fresh eggs, varieties of squash in the winter, and any size and shade of heirloom tomato in the summer—what more could you ask for? This market is open once a week, and is perfect for those staying in Midtown Manhattan. If you are looking for a fresh afternoon snack, or want to picnic in Central Park, make sure to head over and take advantage of the vast array of offerings at this market.
