Two New Yorkers, Chris Mazzil and Michael Reisman opened this venue in 1996. This comedy club has welcomed comedians such as Dave Chappelle, Lewis Black and Colin Quinn. Carolines on Broadway
Carolines opened in 1982 in the Chelsea neighborhood by her owner Caroline Hirsch, also a comedy fan, and years later moved to its current venue in the heart of Times Square. Legendary performers like Jerry Seinfeld and Billy Crystal have graced the stage and have helped make Carolines a very well known place to see live comedy in New York City. This venue produces the successful New York Comedy Festival which brings in some of the biggest names in the stand up comedy business.

New York Comedy Club has offered comedy in the city since 1989. At this place you will see the classic brick wall behind the stage. NYCC boasts comedians who are not only hysterical, but smart and with their finger on the pulse of what is going on politically and socioculturally to create hilarious jokes. The club always adds bigger comics and hosts a lot of great young comics to balance out the lineups, which is cool because you never know which one of the younger comics hit it big. An intimate and cozy venue, it’s one of the top 5 comedy clubs, and if you’re lucky you may be laughing next to a celebrity that may show up.
